WILLIAMSBURG- Robert Riddick Green, 56, of Lake Powell Road, Williamsburg, died Wednesday in Hampton Veterans Administration Hospital following a brief illness.
He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for C. H. Lawson and Co.
He was born in Gates County, N. C., and had lived in Williamsburg for 38 years.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bertha Leaver Green; two sons, Lloyd E. Green of Bryan, Ohio, and Charles R. Green of Williamsburg; two daughters, Mrs. Kermit A. Waltrip of Williamsburg and Mrs. Larry Scheppmann of Newport News; a brother, Thomas E. Green of Eure, N. C.; two sisters, Mrs. W. D. Rountree of Eure and Mrs. Helen Costantino of a Florida address, and eleven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Garrison Funeral Home by the Reverend George N. Kissinger, interim pastor of Walnut Hills Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Williamsburg Memorial Park
Pallbearers will be Lloyd Waltrip, Bob Covington, Gurley Waltrip, Freddie Pitts, Ervin Waltrip and Heath Farmer.
