Bessie Marie Johnson, 90, of DeWitt, Arkansas passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 in DeWitt. Mrs. Johnson was born February 4, 1923 at Holly Grove, Arkansas to the late William and Mary Spears Christian. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by three sons, Ted Johnson (Joyce) of St. Charles, Arkansas, David Johnson (Melinda) of West Helena, Danny Johnson (Virginia) of Poplar Grove, Arkansas; five daughters, Frances Davis (David) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Dottie Raney (Russell) of St. Charles, Arkansas, Judy Graham of Indian Bay, Arkansas, Kathy Jones (B.J.) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Ruby Hall (Tommy) of Pine Bluff; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Litty Cooper of Indian Bay, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Allie Johnson; two brothers; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services for Bessie Marie Johnson will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 2, 2013 at the St. Charles Baptist Church in St. Charles, Arkansas. Reverend Bert Thomas will officiate. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 12 noon. Burial will be at Turner Cemetery in Turner, Arkansas.

Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena.
