| Birth: | 1943 | | Death: | Jul. 5, 2008 | Musician, Singer. An accomplished bassist, Chapados spent most of his career as a studio and television musician. As a result, he was often called upon by some of Quebec's top artists to help record albums. In 1966, he joined René Angelil and Pierre Labelle in the popular music trio Les Baronets after the sudden departure of Jean Beaulne from the group. Collectively becoming known as Les Nouveau Baronets, the new trio recorded several songs together including "Demain," "Ce n'est qu'un au revoir," and "Un petit sous-marin jaune." Chapados left the group after only a few months when Beaulne returned in 1967. The ex-husband of Quebec singer Renée Martel, he is commonly believed to be the inspiration for her 1972 hit "Un amour qui ne veut pas mourir." (bio by: G.Photographer)
