Dorsey B. Fluharty, 67, Woodsfield, formerly of Jerusalem, died June 21, 2011 at his home. He was born Feb. 19, 1944 in Barnesville, a son of the late Richard and Lola Maxine Harper Fluharty.
He was a retired employee of the former Ormet Rolling Mill, a member of USW Local 5760 having served as finishing committeeman and plant grievance chairman, the Belmont-Monroe AFL-CIO having served as delegate, a member of Moose Lodge 2247, FOE 2302 (two-time past president), and American Legion Post 768.
Surviving are his wife, Lona Kozak Fluharty; two sons, Mark (Joan) Fluharty of Reynoldsburg, Jeff (Patty) Fluharty of Jerusalem; three daughters, Melanie (Ted Noah) Fluharty of Parma, Michele (Rich) Namlik of Neffs, Suzanne (Bill) Persinger of Shadyside; a brother, Jerry (Mayme) Fluharty of Utica, NY; a sister, Michele (Michael) Wilson-Kulhawik of Woodsfield; six grandchildren, Kayla, Shasta, David, Jake, Emily, Julia; also several nieces and nephews.
Friends were received June 23 at Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville, where funeral services were held June 24. Burial followed in Jerusalem Cemetery.
