Marie was the second wife of John Calvin Cunningham. They were married on June 30 1898. J.C. died August 18, 1919 of a stroke. Marie came to Melville, ND, to live with her step-daughter Lida and J.W. Shearer for a year after J.C.'s death.

(My side note: the 2 children were John's first wife, Mary Ann Gallner's. All 9 of JC's children were born to Mary Ann. Three had already died before 1900)
The census tells us that J.C. and (Marie) Elizabeth were married 2 years. Marie was born in Pennsylvania of Pennsylvania parents. She could speak English and read and write. They rented the their home. J.C. has an occupation of "Harnester??" which is probably Minister.
