Born in Pennsylvania, died in Hendricks County, IN. Aged 81y 9m 8d. Wife of pioneer James Nichols and second cousin of the famous Confederate, "Stonewall" Jackson. James and Rachel were the parents of the following children: Erasmus, Sarah, Elizabeth, Thomas, Andrew, James and Jane. This cemetery is located on their family land, 2 miles west of Danville, IN. James, Rachel and many of their grandchildren are buried there.
