Vesta Hicks
Vesta Hicks, 80, of Spencer, died Monday, March 23, 1987 in Roane General Hospital, Spencer, following a brief illness.
She was born in Spencer, a daughter of the late Frank and Ella Starcher Walker. She was a homemaker and a member of the Walker Memorial United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Bernard Hicks; two sons, Randall Taylor and Raymond Hicks, both of Spencer; one daughter, Wilma Harper of Marina, Calif.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Robert Millrion officiating. Burial will be in the Walker Chapel Cemetery.
