I have typed the following obituary the way it appeared in the Shreveport Times, Friday, April 27, 1996.

Shreveport, LA - Graveside services for Woodrow White, 77, will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 1996 at Forest Park West Cemetery. Officiating will be Elder Roberts of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Wellman Funeral Home.

Mr. White died Thursday, April 25, 1996 at 11:04 p.m. at Schumpert Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Blacksburg, S.C. and had resided in Shreveport for over 50 years. Mr. White was a carpenter and a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints, a member of the the Carpenters Local No. 764, the North LA Bluegrass Club and was a supporter of the Ark-La-Tex Gun Owners Association.

Survivors include his wife, Faye LeVasseur White; four sons, Michael White and wife, Emma, Gary White and wife Evelyn "Susie". Gerald White and wife, Patrice and David "Arnie" White and wife Bobbie; one daughter, Carla Thomas and husband Leslie; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; three brothers, two sisters, close friends, Steve Shipp and family and James Mason and Family.
