FORT VALLEY, GA - Joyce Sercer Cody, 72, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2006 at her residence. Services will be at 2P.M. Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday evening at the funeral home. -Mrs. Cody was born in Houston County, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Georgia Black Sercer and a brother George Sercer. Mrs. Cody was retired from Robins Air Force Base and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. -Survivors include her husband Joe Cody of Fort Valley; children Tim Cody of Raleigh, NC, Bill Cody of Warner Robins, Susan (Marco) Ciavolino of Bel Air, MD, Joe (Jill) Cody of Marietta, Ann (Jim) Beall of Macon; brother Carl Sercer of Rochelle; and ten grandchildren. -Contribution may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church Building Fund at 129 S. Houston Road, Warner Robins, GA, 31088 in memory of Mrs. Cody. -Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Published in The Telegraph on 6/25/2006
