69, of Morgantown died Wednesday June 23, 2010 at Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born July 23, 1940 at Paintsville, KY a son of the late William M. and Lilly Blanton. He was Protestant by faith. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He worked at Oakland Coca Cola for 20 years and Bell Wholesale Grocery, Mt Morris, PA for 14 years. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Blanton; a daughter, Tamara (Tammy) Thoman and partner Brent Metzger, of Ashland, OH; a brother and spouse, Doug and Debbie Blanton, of Pierceton, IN; a sister, Violet Schenskie of KY; sister-in-laws and
brother-in-laws, Sarah Blanton and Janet Ramey and spouse Ralph, all of New Washington, OH, Wilma Jo and Jim Friend, of Buckhannon, Harold and Pam Frantz of Bruceton Mills, Tommy Frantz and Cheryl, of Terra Alta and Marlene and Ronnie Remagen of Odenton, MD; four grandchildren, Dustin and Amber Thoman, Christian and Kyle Metzger, several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Delmar Blanton. Friends will be recieved at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta on Saturday June 26 from 2-4:00 followed by a graveside service at Oak Grove
