Joesph (Jodie) G Heath, 72, lifetime resident of this community, died at 7:30 pm at Mercy hospital in Iowa City, Friday evening after a brief illness. Mr Heath was born on a farm in South Prairie community where he lived all his life until retirement, on March 1 of this year, when the couple moved to West Liberty. He was the son of Charles and Lucinda Woods Heath. He was born on May 24, 1891. He was married to Leona Hintz on Jan 15, 1913 at Nichols. Mr Heath was a member of South Prairie Church. Survivors include the wife and two sons, Robert Heath of West Liberty, and Richard Heath of Wellman; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister. Funeral services will be conducted at Snider funeral home and interment will be at the local cemetery.
