SPURLING, ELLEN LOUISE - our loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away Friday, April 13, 2001, in Houston, Texas. Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Boyd H. Spurling and son, William B. Spurling. Louise is survived by her children, Charles R. Griffin and wife, Cindy, Donna S. Rathkamp and husband, David, and Linda S. Atchley and her husband, Don. Louise also has seventeen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and a talented gardener. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and her family and would wish them all to be with Him one day. There will be a graveside service on Monday, April 16, 2001, at Eastview Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m., family and friends will meet in the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. All friends and family are welcome to attend the services. McCarty Mortuary, 4004 Holston Dr., in charge of arrangements.
