Mary Irene Arlan adored wife of Jay Arlan, passed away at St. Paul's Health and Rehabilitation Center in Chicago on Saturday, May 13, 2006. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Ella Brown Miller of Morristown, Indiana, and by her sister, Louise Wilcurt, and her brother, Berl Miller. Irene traveled and lived throughout the United States, following her husband Jay Arlan through his career in radio and television. She worked as a professional photographer in Cincinnati during the 1940s and was co-host of the radio program Hymns of Heavenly Hope, broadcast throughout Central Indiana for many years during the 1980s and 1990s. Irene was an artist in her own right, loved to collect antiques, and was happiest when she could assemble all her friends and family for large formal parties and get togethers. Irene devoted her life to her husband and children, and will be sadly missed by them and by her numerous friends and relations. She is survived by her husband, Jay Arlan, her children, Alan and Chloe Arlan, and granddaughter, Adrienne Arlan. Visitation will be will be on Saturday, May 20th, 2006 at Protestant Church of Greenfield, between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 12:30 P.M. Followed by burial at Concorde Cemetery in Morristown, Indiana.
