Mr. J.H. Cook Dies from
an attack of Acute Indigestion.
Well known man expired Sunday after an
illness of only a few hours duration.
Mr. James H. Cook, who for sometime past had been employed
in the office of Chancery clerk B.A. Lincon, died at his
home, No.508 South Seventh street, at an early hour, last
Sunday morning. His Death having resulted from actue in-
digestion.
The death of Mr.Cook was sudden and unexpected. He was on the streets Saturday and was apparently in good, splendid
health.
Soon after retiring he was seized with an attack with an
attack of acute indigestion and expired with in a short time.
Mr. Cook who was fifty-eight years of age is survived by his widow, three daughters. Mrs.R.A.Mann and Misses Rosa
Hunter cook, two sons, Mr.W.L.Cook of Artesia and Mr.C.H.
Cook of Greenville, and a brother Hon. Joe Cook, President
of the State Normal College At Hattiesburg.
Deceased was a member of Union Lodge No 35,I.O.O.F and the
members attended in body his funeral, which was held at the
family residence at 2:30 O'clock Sunday afternoon having
been conducted by Rev. W.W.Woollard, Pastor of the first
Methodist Church.
Following the Obsequies, the body was taken to Artesia
for Interment.
