Jennifer Della Ames, 25, of Spanish Fork, passed away on Friday evening, May 21, 2010 at Portneuf Medical Center after being involved in a one-vehicle rollover accident just south of town on Interstate 15.
She was born October 15, 1984 in Provo, Utah to Robert Dale and Jeanice June Lykins Ames.
Jennifer attended Spanish Fork High School, where she graduated with high honors. She was currently attending college at BYU-Idaho, where she was scheduled to graduate in July in Elementary Education.
Jennifer was in the SF marching band for four years, where she played the clarinet. She had a great passion for helping children and her focus was always on them in Elementary Education. She also loved to read, play games, and loved winning at games.
She served an LDS mission in the Washington DC South Mission from January 2006 to July 2007. She was currently serving as the Relief Society President in her BYU-Idaho student ward.
Jennifer is survived by her parents, Robert and Jeanice Ames; two sisters and one brother, Stephanie Dickson (Spencer), West Jordan, Chrissy Ames, Provo, and Michael Ames, Spanish Fork; one nephew, Garret Dickson; grandparents Levi Robert Ames, Springville, Amy Jean Lykins, Spanish Fork, and Chester Gerald Lykins, North Carolina; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Dorthy Beth Ames, and uncle, Christopher Lykins.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Spanish Fork Fifth Ward Chapel, 1008 East 200 South, Spanish Fork. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, on Thursday evening from 6:00 til 8:00 p.m. and Friday at the Ward Relief Society room from 9:45 til 10:45 a.m. prior to the services
Burial will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
