Millie was a budget analyst for the school district for many years. She was married to her devoted husband Agusto Calvo for 45 years. Before he died in 2001, Millie and Gus were very active in St. Therese parish and the Sons & Daughters of Guam Club. They loved hosting family get-togethers and traveling all over the world. Their caring spirit was reflected through their generous donations to many charities and volunteer work with Father Joe. Millie had a strong passion for God and her family. She would do anything for them.
Millie passed away at San Diego Hospice on October 27, 2006. She will be deeply missed by her two children, three grandchildren, two sisters and many nieces and nephews.
~Miss you, GG~
How often I think about you and smile!
God looked around His garden
And found an empty place
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb.
So He closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered "Peace be thine."
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
