Robert A. Beran, 87, of Slidell passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011.
The beloved husband of the late Clarice Sherman Beran, he was the father of, Carolyn Gilmore (Glen), Diane Reed (Mike), and Mary Heuchert (Lou); son of the late Frank and Anna Beran and brother of Janet B. Littleton and the late Kenneth Beran. He is also survived by four grandchildren, James Roberts, Melissa Pitts, William Reed, Michael Reed, and the late Kenneth Roberts and six great-grandchildren, Chase Pitts, Felicity Reed, Peyton Reed, Ivy-Jane Reed, Kayden Dugas, and Mitchell Reed.
He was a native of Beatrice, Neb., and a resident of Slidell since 1972, Robert was the owner of Ernie's Stump Grinding in Slidell.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, (in Forest Lawn Cemtery), Slidell with the Rev. Donald Bryan officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Donations to the Children's Hospital, 200 Henry Clay Avenue New Orleans, LA 70118, or to the St. Joseph Hospice, 1400 Gause Blvd #200, Slidell LA 70458, or to a hospice of your choice is preferred in lieu of flowers.
