Viola Mae Blessing, daughter of Paris and Zella Ryals Wheeler, was born in Schuyler County, Missouri, on April 9, 1896, and passed away at the Ottumwa Hospital in Ottumwa, Iowa, on June 7, 1967, at the age of 71 years, 1 month and 28 days.
She had been in failing health for several months.
On January 4, 1915, she was married to George Blessing and to this union one daughter, Lelah, was born.
Mrs. Blessing was a member of the Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, two brothers and one sister who died in infancy.
Surviving are her husband, George; four sisters, Mrs. Dewey Smith, Mrs. Eva Weeks and Mrs. Curtis Leedom, all of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Mrs. Cecil Cossell of Kahoka, Missouri; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
