Mae Hazel Curl was born 7 Apr 1902 in longbranch, Washington. She was the daughter of George and Caroline [Scott] Curl. The wife of William Otto and the mother of; Marjorie Virginia, Jean Anges and Myra Caroline Curl.

She was active in the community; ladies club, improvement club, card club, served [and cooked] dinner for baseball players [visiting team].She went out boating with the family, and hosted family functions. She was always ready to help her family and others.

She traveled back east to see family and friends, fished in the Olympic Mountains, and traveled down the Pacific Coast.

EDUCATION: She graduated from eighth grade at District 32 Pierce County, Longbranch, Washington. She then attended High School in Tacoma Washington, through eleventh grade. She went to school in Tacoma via Ferry and then street car.

OCCUPATION: She owned, with her husband, Longbranch Grocery. They sold groceries, meat, hardware, gas, feed and etc. They also later farmed.

CHURCH: She was affiliated with the Congregational Church.
