Florence Arlene Berlin, age 67, of Roosevelt, passed away Aug. 15, 2010, at a hospice in Grand Junction, Colo.
She was born Aug. 27, 1942, in Meeker, Colo., to James Wilson and Mary Emma Ross Younker. She married Frank White, later divorced. Married Tom Pinette, he later died. She married Dale Berlin, May 2, 1998, in Ballard.
Florence worked with her husband, Tom, as a boot and saddle maker, and later at a convenience store and then a bookkeeper and accountant for Basin Wholesale. She has resided in Washington, Oregon, Rangely, Grand Junction, Missouri, Texas, and New Mexico, and moved to the Uintah Basin in 1997. Her hobbies included making quilts out of old jeans, sewing, and decorating Christmas cards with jean pockets. She was loved by everyone. She had two small donkeys, Julie and Kati, which she was especially fond of.
Florence was survived by her husband, Dale, of Roosevelt; children, James R. White, Grand Junction; Zane White, Pinedale, Wyo., Marlin White, Clovis, N.M.; 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Younker, Calif., and half-sisters, Elda Maxwell, Wash. state, and Maudene DeLarue, of N.M.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thurs., Aug. 19, at the Hullinger Mortuary where friends and family may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and from 9-9:45 a.m. on Thursday.
Burial will be in the Huntsville Cemetery at 4 p.m.
