ABRAMS, Leo Age 78 of Fairfield Township went home to be with the Lord on Monday June 16, 2008, at his residence. He was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky on April 1, 1930 the son of John and Stella (Young) Abrams. Leo was employed as a spray painter and in maintenance at Diebold Incorporated for 36 years, retiring in 1988. He was a Kentucky Colonel who was very devoted to his family. Leo was a dedicated member and trustee of Baptist Chapel, which he helped build in 1969. On January 21, 1949 in Richmond, Kentucky he married Mary Lucille Casteele. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lucille Abrams; nine children, Connie (Joe) Carbone, Ronald Abrams, Leo Abrams Jr., Gale (Fred) Baker, John (Lisa) Abrams, Mary (David) Wells, Jerry (Billie) Abrams, Candace (Donnie) White, and Cathy (Larry) Sherbs; siblings Luther (Ellen), Mildred, Burgess "Bud" (Ruth), Cash, Darrell (Pat), Nell Jo, and Barbara Sue; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Abrams and Stella Johnson. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
