Lawrence Harrison Ballard, 85, died at Monday, January 2, 1995 in Dewey, Washington County, Oklahoma. Funeral services were held Thursday, January 5, at Arnold Moore Memory Chapel, officiated by Rev. Luther Griffin. Committal prayers and interment were held at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville under the direction of Arnold Moore Funeral Service.
Son Ballard was born on October 17, 1909 in Copan, Oklahoma, to Clifford and Florence Ann (Medlen) Ballard. He was reared and received in his education in Copan and was a 1927 graduate of Copan High School. He married Vivian Hersie Davis in Copan on September 9, 1931. During World War II, he enlisted in the United States Navy and received a medical discharge in 1944. Son and Vivian had three sons. Later, in 1966, he married Mrs. Florence Marie (Clendenning) Hill in Bartlesville.
After 29 years of service to Phillips Petroleum Company, he retired in 1973 and moved to Grand Lake (Oklahoma). Then, in 1994, he moved to Dewey, Oklahoma where he lived until his passing in 1995. He was a member of Copan First Baptist Church and the James H. Teel American Legion Post No. 105.
