Bonnie J. Arie, 83, of Watseka, died Monday (March 3, 2008) at the Iroquois Resident Home. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with a 7:45 p.m. rosary service, at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home, Watseka. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Edmund's Catholic Church, Watseka, where she was a member. The Rev. Lee Ryan will officiate.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Watseka. Memorials may be made to Iroquois Memorial Hospice or to St. Edmund's Catholic Church.
Mrs. Arie was a volunteer with the American Red Cross for many years. She received the Watseka Area Chamber of Commerce and Times Republic Citizen of the Year Award in 1991. She was born Oct. 11, 1924, in Muncie, the daughter of Francis B. and Ruth Redenbaugh Izard. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for many years.
