May 20, 2009 Ventura Ventura County California, USA
Our beloved Janet Faye Dixon Crow crossed into heaven on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at her residence. Janet was born January 24, 1946, in Coalinga, Calif. She moved to Ventura a year later and became a life-long resident.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 45 years, Phillip D. Crow; daughter, Candace Crow of Ventura; honorary daughter, Deanna Brummett of Ventura; son, Phillip Glenn Crow and daughter-in-law DeAnne, as well as their four children, Hadley, Logan, Wyatt and Jolie, all of Lake Forest, Calif.; son, John Crow of Oxnard; brother, Robert Dixon of Ventura; sister, Shirley Brown of Oxnard; as well as a large extended family and many friends and admirers. She was preceded in death by hr parents, Jesse F. Dixon and Jessie Sylvia Lea Linker Dixon; as well as her brother, Eugene Dixon.
Janet was a shining example of what it means to be a truly loving person; she so often put others before herself, always considering the welfare and feelings of not just those she loved, but often strangers as well. Janet was a kind-hearted individual to whom it mattered to leave the world a better place. The world certainly is a better place for her having been here; heaven is now one angel richer.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, also at Ted Mayr Funeral Home.
