Beulah "Mina" Bourland, 85, of Equality, passed away at 7:50 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at Fountain View Nursing Home in Eldorado surrounded by her family.
She was born May 12, 1923, in Warden, to Elmer and Rose (Weeks) McCann. Mina married James Laverne "Squeak" Bourland on Oct. 18, 1946, in Woodriver. He preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 1990.
She was a member of Oak Grove General Baptist Church in Eldorado.
Mina is survived by two daughters, Joan and Wayne Rexing of Equality and Marsha and Butch Smith of Harrisburg; three sons, Frank and Marla Bourland of Omaha, Allan and Jean Bourland of Fayette, Ala., and John R. and Mary Kay Bourland of Equality; 13 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her sister, Zella Sherman; and her brother Bob McCann.
Visitation for Mina will be held from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality. The Rev. Gary Hardesty will be officiating with burial at Zion Cemetery near Ridgway.
