Officer Austin G. Allen, DSN 3456, was commissioned as a Police Officer on 03/09/1959. After graduating from the academy he was assigned to the following districts and divisions throughout his career. The 9Th, 7Th, 3Rd Districts, K-9 Section, and as a detective in the Burglary Prevention Advisory Unit. When he retired on 07/14/1978, he had a total of 19.32 years of service.

Officer Allen was also a veteran of the United States Air Force and attained the rank of Senior Master Sergeant.

Allen, Austin G. (Bud) Entered into Rest July 19, 2009.

Beloved husband for 60 years of Myrtle L. Allen (nee Judy); dearest father of Judy (John) Keilholz, Donald (Kay) Allen, Kenneth Allen and Diana (David) Hoffmann; cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Jason, Kyle, Matthew, Jessica, John, Michael, Eric, Kelsey and the late Erin; great-grandfather of Halle, Mac, Cameron, Jacob, Jeremy and Ryleigh; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Mr. Allen was a retired St. Louis Metropolitan Police Officer, and was also retired from the Missouri Air National Guard after 31 years of service.

He was a faithful and active member of Canaan Baptist Church.

Services: Funeral at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. (at Butler Hill) on Tuesday, July 31, 12:30 p.m. Interment J. B. National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials to Canaan Baptist Church appreciated. Visitation Monday 4-9 p.m.
