Kiana, 8, drowned at the Westchase pool. She was a member of the Dolphines swim team. When a storm rolled across the area, lifeguards hearded the children indoors. One of Kiana's friends told a life guard that she couldn't find Kiana. They searched and eventually found her at the bottom of the deep end of the pool.
Kiana was the only child of Kieth and Diana Appleby.
