Begeman, age 92, of Electra, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012, in Electra.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2012, at the First Baptist Church with her niece, Debra Huffman Ditto, Pastor of the First Christian Church in Canyon, Texas and her grandson, David Jenkins, Pastor of Lake Arlington Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas, officiating. Burial will be in the Dundee Cemetery in Dundee, Texas, under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
The family will receive guests from 2 p.m. until service time, Sunday, April 29, 2012, at the First Baptist Church.
Edna was born February 14, 1920, in Dundee, Texas, to James Samuel Huffman and Elizabeth Della Williams.
She and Guy Mathis Lindley were married March 7, 1942, in Altus, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on February 18, 1973. She then married Fritz Henry Begeman on December 28, 1979, in Wichita Falls. He preceded her in death on January 13, 1987.
Edna was employed at the Electra Health Care Center for eleven years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Guy Ronald Lindley and wife, Donna of Round Mountain, Nevada; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two step-sons, Jimmy Don Begeman and wife, Maurine(Dean) of Paradise, Texas, Troy Fritz Begeman and wife, Carol(McDaniel) of Breckenridge, Texas; three step-daughters, Amelia Sue Ray and husband, Don of Snyder, Texas, Dana Kay Shelley and husband, Kenneth of Electra, and Paula Ann Rodgers of Electra; seventeen step-grandchildren; thirty-eight step-great-grandchildren; twenty-eight step-great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Dr. Louie Huffman of Wichita Falls, Texas and Edgar Huffman of Fort Worth, Texas.
Edna was also preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Huffman and James "J.J." Huffman; and four sisters, Ruby Johnston, Effie Howard, Geneva Oliver and Pauline Scarbrough.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Barry Begeman, Mike Oliver, Greg Ray, Jeff Rodgers, Keith Shelley, and Kevin Shelley.
