Patches was the beloved furbaby of John L. Miller. She was one of four kittens born to a small stray cat that followed him home from work. He named the little mother cat "Fluffy". He found a good home for two of the kittens, then decided to keep Fluffy and her two remaining babies, which he named Patches and Smokey. Patches was the sweetest cat. She was very shy and would hide in the kitchen cabinets when John had visitors. She could always be coaxed out of hiding with her favorite cat treats. Patches enjoyed playing with her brother and napping with her Mother. She seemed to especially like waking John up each morning by chewing on his hair and licking his face. One night when John came home, only Fluffy and Smokey came to greet him. He looked for Patches and found her laying down, unable to get up. John quickly wrapped her up and rushed her to the vet. The news was not good. Somehow, a blood clot had lodged in her spine. She would not recover. She was in great pain, so John did the only decent thing he could do, and gave the vet permission to end her suffering. Patches was a beautiful cat with the sweetest disposition. She will always be loved and missed by everyone who ever came in contact with her.
