Obituary in Times Picayune: "BOFILL--On Wednesday evening November 24, 1943, at 11:30 a.m. JOSEPHINE YEAGER BOFILL, in her 72nd year, of 4200 Franklin Ave, wife of the late John W. (Bob) Bofill, mother of Mrs. Ben E. Lane and Mrs. Gaston Levesque, grandmother of warrant officer, Rene A. Louapre, Jr., United States Army, Lieutenant Alston Levesque, United States Army, Gaston Levesque, United States Coast Guard, Cadet Wesley Levesque, United States Merchant Marine, and Shirley Levesque. Relatives and friends of the family also officers and members of the New Orleans Police Mutual Benevolent Association, are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the P.J. McMahon & Sons Funeral Home, 4800 Canal Street, near cemeteries, at 9:30 Friday morning, November 26, 1943, followed by services at St James Major church with internment in Cypress Grove Cemetery."

Al Levesque says she didn't speak French and he doesn't know if she spoke German but he thought of her as German. She was called "Feeny" by her friends. Her friends went to seances and she took Al to a few of them. He says she suffered from "brash" disease which he believes was heartburn or acid reflux.

In 1880 census, Paul is listed as a confectioner. Also, as a non-reader and a non-writer. His birthplace and that of his mother and father are listed as Switzerland. His age is given as 50. He lived on St. Phillip's Street, north side. Family name on census is spelled Yeager. His son-in-law, Frank Hudson, is also listed as unable to read or write. He was a laborer.
