NJ State Trooper murdered by Joanne Chesimard of the Black Panther Party after he and his partner stopped the vehicle for a defective tail light. Joanne shot both him and his partner, then took Trooper Foerster's service revolver and shot him twice in the head, execution style. Captured, tried, convicted and sentenced, she was able to escape from prison in 1979 via 3 "visitors" who perfomed an armed jailbreak from Clinton Correctional Institution for Women in Hunterdon County NJ. Several years later, she turned up in Havana Cuba and now lives under the name Assata Shakur and has written several books published here in the USA. She is the Aunt of deceased Rapper Tupac Shakur.
A $ 1,000,000 reward has been offered for her capture and return. Trooper Foerster left behind a wife and 2 children.
