Joseph Paul Dickerson, 34, of Reke Owen St., Brookneal, passed away Monday, June 22, 2009. He was the husband of the late Misty Lloyd Dickerson.

Mr. Dickerson was born in Lynchburg, May 10, 1975, a son of Rufus F. Dickerson and Alsie Montgomery Dickerson of Brookneal. He was of the Baptist faith and was an employee of Thompson Insulation Co.

He is survived by a son, Dane T. Dickerson, and a daughter, Haley N. Dickerson, both of South Boston; two brothers, Rufus R. Dickerson of Brookneal and Johnny W. Dickerson of Halifax; one sister, Barbara A. Dickerson, of Brookneal; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2009, at Wickliffe Cemetery by the Rev. Mike Ferrell.

The family will receive friends at the home of his parents, Rufus and Alsie Dickerson, Reke Owen St., Brookneal.

Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal, is in charge of arrangements.
