Mr. Charles R. Kerr Sr., of Hackett, Arkansas, died Monday, 01/23/2012, in a Fort Smith hospital. Mr. Kerr was 67 years, 8 months, and 6 days old. He was a retired employee of College of the Desert, in Palm Desert, California; a member of the Greenwood Church of the Nazarene, a member of the Harris-Hannah VFW Post #6527 in Greenwood, and a U. S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam war.
He is survived by his wife: Sharon of the home; four sons: Charles Ray Kerr, Jr. and wife, Anita, of Greenwood, Arkansas, Thomas Ray Kerr and wife, Dawn, of Winchester, California, Timothy Ray Kerr and wife, Molly, of Hackett, Arkansas, and Christopher Ray Kerr and wife, Josie, of Midland, Arkansas; two brothers: Carl Stephens and wife, Bernice, of Indio, California and Alfred Stephens of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two sisters: Elizabeth Langley and husband, Bill, of Midland, Arkansas and Pearl Jones and husband, Denny, of Yuma, AZ; fourteen grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
Graves services was held on Friday afternoon, January 27, 2012, at the U. S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were: Bobby and Nick Spence, Greg Stephens, Johnny Gamble, Charlie Lanier, and David Oaks.
