This is Jacob-5 (Jacob-4, Jacob-3, Peter-2, George-1) Aldrich, son of Jacob-4 and Mary (Sandiforth) Aldrich. Jacob was baptized Feb 9, 1755 in Mattituck Parish. He married Nov 21, 1782, Mary Owen, daughter of James and Mary (Paine) Owen of Wading River. They had three children: Mary 1783, Jacob 1787, and James Owen 1789. Then, Mary died on Jul 31, 1800, when the children were aged 11-17. Jacob married, second, Jemima Cleaves on Feb 3, 1801 in Mattituck Parish, and had Harriet 1803 (md David B. Hallock). Jacob died in 1840, and Jemima followed one year later, in 1841.

Abstracts of wills, recorded at Riverhead, Suffolk County, New York, Van Buren, Elizabeth R, Vol. 4 (Book E-G, 1823-1839) FHL Film 860327.

Exts: David Warner, of Riverhead; said John Y. Aldrich, of Southold. Wits: Nathaniel Warner, of Riverhead, David Williamson, of Southold.

Proof names heirs: Hannah, wife of Rogers Aldrich; Sophronia, wife of Henry Brandt, of New York; Deborah, wife of William Edwards, of Wantage, N. J.; Micah C. and Adna T. Aldrich, of Dingmore, Pike County, Penn; and Ann-Maria Aldrich, minor; Henry T. Penny, guardian. Pro: 3 Dec 1840 and 12 Jan 1841. pp 311-315. File 3149."

None of his three children are named, because they all pre-deceased him.

I don't see a relationship to any of the witnesses, probably neighbors.

All grandchildren named above accounted for.

Herman, Zachariah and Hannah Hallock are children of Zachariah and Mary (Aldrich) Hallock.

Henry, Sophronia, and Ann Marie Aldrich are children of James Owen and Harmony (Howell) Aldrich.

John Youngs Aldrich, Deborah Hallock Aldrich, Micah O, Charles and Adney Aldrich are all children of Jacob and Mary (Owen) Aldrich.

Harriet is a daughter of Jacob (the maker) and second wife Jemima (Cleaves) Aldrich.
