Allie Jo (Kinslow) Arnold, age 78, of Joplin, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 4 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, following a long illness. Allie was born on July 13, 1929, in Tiff City, Mo., daughter of the late Ambrose Kinslow and Bertha Dement Kinslow. She has lived in Joplin for the last 40 years after moving from the St. Louis area. Allie married Leo G. Arnold on Feb. 16, 1946, in Columbus, Kan. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1995. She owned and operated Arnold's Upholstery Fabrics in Joplin, retiring in 1993. She had also worked for Autotronics Inc. for over 16 years. Survivors include one son, Leo Arnold Jr., of Carthage, Mo.; one daughter, Nancy Stephenson, of Joplin; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Allie was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Jacques, on Jan. 29, 1993; her parents; and 12 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel with Rev. Chris Sloan officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, near Neosho. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
