Bud Bailey Dies Following Surgery He was 46.

L.H."Bud" Bailey, Association Manager for Oklahoma Dairymen suffered a heart attack on September 8, 1965, but overcame this within a two month period and came back to a fulltime work schedule in December. 1965.
On January 13, 1966 he entered Mercy Hospital, Oklahoma City, for corrective open heart surgery. About 10 hours after surgery, complications developed and despite the efforts of his three surgeons, Bud Bailey passed away.
Bud was born May 4 1920 in Lenoke County Arkansas and with his family moved to Missouri in 1929. There, his father took over his grandfather's dairy herd which had been maintained on the same farm for thirty years. They operated the dairy until Bud finished high school.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy and two children, Susan Gay and William Patrick; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Bailey of Neosho, Missouri, and three sisters, Mrs. Robert Marcucci of Dallas, Mrs. Robert Putnam of Granby, Missouri, and Miss Polly Bailey of Lawton.
Services were held at St Andrew Methodist Church, Oklahoma City, Sunday January 16, 1966, with final services being held in the Northside Baptist Church of Neosho, Missouri. Interment was in the IOOF cemetery of Neosho, Missouri.
Several COMPA employees and board members attended these final services in Neosho.
The staff, the board, the entire membership of Central Oklahoma Dairymen will miss Bud and will remember the classical devotion he showed to the organization. Such deep consideration given a job is uncommon, but then Bud Bailey was an uncommon man.
