Son to the late John and Helen (Plavka) Bella. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. During his service, he received the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon with One Star; the Victory Ribbon; the Korean Service Medal; and the Navy Occupation Service.
Rudy was employed as a wire rope splicer with MacWhyte Wire Rope Manufacturer for 44 years.He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church; the MacWhyte 25-Year Club; had served on the Local #960 Executive Board and Bargaining Committee while at MacWhyte; a member of the Moose Lodge #286; a long-time member of the MacWhyte Bowling League; and enjoyed the time he spent with the Senior Golf League.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene; three children: Paul (Joann) Bella, of Kenosha, Rudy (Rhonda) Bella Jr., of Kenosha, and Cherie (David) Spittlemeister, of Pleasant Prairie; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Bella, of Kenosha; and two sisters: Julia Grineus, of Kenosha, and Helen Becker, of Sahuarita, AZ.
Rudy was preceded in death by a brother John.
