Belinda Lebrecht Betzold passed away in Reno, Nev. on July 22, 2006, surrounded by her husband Jim and sons Douglas and Michael, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was loved and admired by her family and numerous friends. She was born May 4, 1958 in Germany. She spent her youth in Sterling, Idaho on the family farm. She graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1976. She married James (Jim) Betzold from Emmett, Idaho, in Dec. 1979. They moved to Alaska in 1982 where they both worked at the camps on the pipeline. There son Douglas was born in 1988, and son Michael was born in 1992 to complete their family. They moved to Beluga, Alaska in 1993 where they built and maintained a home. Belinda has been a creative home school teacher, willow chair builder, editor of the "Bush Tales", avid reader, bush camp manager, gardener, seamstress, builder as well as a fantastic cook. Her life revolved around her family. Since they lived isolated she made numerous trips with her boys and made them educational and fun adventures. Belinda will be greatly missed by her family, and numerous friends. She is survived by her husband Jim Betzold and son's Douglas and Michael, Greg and Chris. Her parents Carol Lebrecht, and Wulf and Karen Lebrecht, her six siblings; Brian Lebrecht, Don and Andrea (Lebrecht) Betzold, Pete and Roswita (Lebrecht)Ramsey, Chris and Cheree Lebrecht, Adrian and Teresa Lebrecht, and Cole Hansen. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as two grandsons. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her. According to Belinda's wishes a Celebration of Life Memorial was held at the family farm in Sterling, Idaho at 3 p.m. Saturday July 29, 2006
