Stella was born on Nov 6th, 1903 near the Oregon Slope area of Ontario Oregon. She was the daughter of Edward Newotn and Zena Barchy Newton.
She married Robert Belknap March 19,1922. They lived most
of their life in Payette and raised three children there.
Stella really loved music, loved to cook and read cook books. She use to make lovely cakes and was so good at decorating them. Her pride and joy though was her rose garden. She cared for her garden up intil she became to ill. She was a proud member of the Payette Assembly Of God Church. Her family was very special to her.
Her daughter Virginia Hellinga is the only one of Stella's children to still be living. She has a sister Frances Muntezwerff of LaGrande Oregon; six grand children 14 great grand children and 10 great-great grand children.
She was preceeded in death by her husband Robert Belknap, two sons Howard and Harold Belknap, and a great grand son.
