Mrs. Thos. Dawe Called to Her Eternal Home

A long and beautiful Christian life fragrant with service to her Master and her loved ones came to its earthly close in the early morning hours of a new day, when Mrs. Thomas Dawe, widely beloved and revered resident of this city, closed her eyes on earthly scenes gently falling asleep to awaken amid the splendor of a new eternal day, the end coming peacefully at the family residence this morning at 1:10 o'clock.
Mrs. Dawe had been ill for almost two weeks and loved ones were deeply concerned regarding her condition from the first, although her illness did not take on a critical aspect until a few days ago. The best skilled medical attention and the tenderest nursing proved unfailing to restore the devoted wife and mother at whose beside were gathered all her children when the end came.
Mrs. Dawe was 79 years 9 months and 10 days of age.
Surviving here are her husband, six sons, Dr. W. T. Dawe, Joe Dawe, and Arthur Dawe of this city, Steve Dawe of Harlingen, Albert Dawe of Leesville and John Dawe of Wrightsboro and two daughters Mrs. L. L. Gu___ of Cuero and Miss. Mary Dawe of this city. She also leaves 19 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Catherine Dawe nee Catherine Annear, was born in Yorkshire England, where she grew into wholesome young womanhood.
