UNCLE BOBBY CLARK DEAD
Aged Farmer Passed Away at His Home in Beaver Township
R. M. Clark, widely known as "Uncle Bobby" an old Cowley County Settler died Monday night about half past 11 at his home near Tannehill. He had been a long sufferer from cancer of the stomach which was the immediate cause of his death. He was past eighty-seven years of age and had been a resident of Cowley County for twenty-three years, coming here with his family March 9, 1882 from Indiana. He born in Pickaway County, Ohio, in the year 1818 and lived there until grown. He then moved to Indiana. A widow, Mrs. Sarah E. Clark and twelve children, eleven sons and one daughter survive him. Only two of the latter were here at the time of his death, Francis and Isaac.
The funeral will be held tomorrow, Wednesday afternoon at the home at two o'clock, Rev. S. W. Stophlet having charge.
