Sparrowbush Soldier Was
Killed in France

SPARROWBUSH —
Funeral services will be held here Sunday afternoon for Private First Class Albert Miles Adams, who was killed in action in France August seventeenth, 1944.

Rites will be conducted at two o'clock at the Methodist Church by the Rev. Ian Bisset. There will be American Legion services at the grave in Pine Hill Cemetery.

Private Adams, who entered service October eighth. 1943, was, an Infantryman. He landed at Utah Beach, France. August third, 1944, and was killed in the battle of Falaise while in action with a unit of General Patton's Third Army.

The Sparrowbush soldier was born here March twenty-seventh. 1921, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Miles Adams. After graduation from Port Jervis High School he was employed by
the Erie Railroad. He was a member of the Sparrowbush Methodist Church and the Men's Brotherhood.

Besides his parents, he is survived by uncles, aunts and cousins.
