The following biography was written by Mary, his daughter.......
Conrad was born January 3, 1894, in Kanabec County, Minnesota. He attended several schools as the family moved, including Washington state.
Returning to Minnesota, he worked as a plasterer in the Mora area, often working with his father and brothers. He and his brother Charlie relocated to the Chicago area to be part of the building expansion of the 1920's.
It was while working there that he met Minnie Satterfield. They were married on October 19, 1926. Their son Conrad Jr., was born in Illinois.
When building shut down during the depression, he moved his family back to Minnesota, farming in the Henriette area. In 1934 the twins Jack and Mary were born.
They moved to a farm in Comfort Township where they lived for many years. He both farmed and worked as a plasterer and cement finisher, first for his brother J.B., then a partner in Nordenstrom Plastering, and his later years in the Twin Cities.
An expert craftsman, he took great pride in his work. Family was always foremost to him, but fishing and horses were a special interest.
Conrad and Minnie had three children -- Conrad Jr., Mary, and Jack -- and six grandsons.
