Florence, wife of Thomas Wilson Armstrong, mother of three children, LLoyd E., Bitler, and Frank.

Mrs. Florence A. Armstrong, 76, who resided near Yeoman, died at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday at the Kennedy nursing hone in Flora where she had been a patient the past two Years.

Born near Yeoman on Feb. 8. 1877, she was the daughter of William Thomas and Lavonia (Tussing) Bitler. Her first marriage was to Thomas W. Armstrong, former Carroll county superintendent of school, in 1896. He expired in 1928. In 1937 she was married to her deceased husband’s brother. Charles E. Armstrong. He preceded in death in 1943.

The deceased was a member of the Delphi Methodist church and the Eastern Star.

Survivors include: two sons, Bitler Armstrong and Frank Armstrong, both of route one, Delphi; two sisters, the Misses Flora and Adelphia Bitler, route one. Delphi; two brothers, Clifford C. Delphi; and Dr. Clyde Bitler, New Castle; and five grandchildren. One son Lloyd, preceded in death in 1919.

Mrs. Martha Hanna of route 1, Delphi is a step-daughter of the deceased.
