Age 99 years, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the Inn of Willow Falls.
Born on April 30, 1915 in Clinton, IN, living in Joliet most of her life.
Member of the Church of St. Anthony and the CCW of the church.
Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Anthony “Tony” Airoldi (2004); her daughter-in-law, Diana Airoldi; her daughter, Mary Kay Airoldi; her great-granddaughter, Carrie May Cupp; her parents, Michele and Maria (nee Vigna) Airola; three brothers, James, Peter and John Airola and two sisters, Mary Bertino and Eda Airola.
Survived by her devoted children, John (late, Diana) Airoldi and Linda (Thomas) Adelmann; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; her sister, Dora Geary; a dear friend, Janet Adelmann and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Lena Airoldi will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home 2320 Black Road, Joliet on Saturday morning, March 14, 2015 beginning at 8:30 am until 10:30 am, with a funeral mass at the Church of St. Anthony at 11:00 am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lena’s name to The Inn of Willow Falls, 1681 Willow Circle Drive Crest Hill, Il 60403 would be appreciated.
