Robert Theodore "Bobby" Bauer
Birth: Feb. 16, 1915
Death: Sep. 16, 1964

Hall of Fame Professional Hockey Player. A native of Waterloo, Ontario, played the position of Right Wing for the Boston Bruins from 1937 to 1947, and 1951 to 1952. Also a coach, he coached the Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen from 1955 to 1961, winning the Olympic Bronze in 1956, and the Olympic Silver in 1960. He won the Stanley Cup in 1939 and 1941, the Lady Byng Trophy in 1940, 1941, and 1947, was the NHL All-Star Second Team right-wing from 1938 to 1939, 1939 to 1940, 1940 to 1941, and 1946 to 1947, and was on the NHL All-Star Roster from 1939 to 1947. He was the older brother of hockey player, Father David Bauer. During his years with the Boston Bruins he was also part of the famous 'Kraut Line' along with Milt Schmidt and Woody Dumart. Bauer was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1996. (bio by: K)
