PAUL ALBOSTA
Paul P. Albosta , of South Main Street, Ashley, died Saturday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Ashley, he was a son of the late Anthony and Eva (Makowski) Albosta .
He attended Ashley schools.
He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II.
He was a butcher with the Pezzner Brothers Meat Co., Ashley.
He was a member of Holy Family Church, Sugar Notch, American Legion Post 673, Ashley, and Catholic War Veterans Post 274, Ashley.
He was preceded in death by his son, Paul M.; brother, Anthony; and sister, Florence Zelinka.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, the former Helen Karbosky; sons, Mark, Vienna, Va.; and David, Riverdale, Ga.; daughters, Mary Cherkauskas, Ashley; Jane Hagenbach, Fairmount Springs; and Nancy, at home; sister, Nancy Carr, Lockport, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Joseph L. Wroblewski Funeral Home, 56 Ashley St., Ashley, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, with the Rev. John Terry officiating.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
