Essie J Webb was born the eldest of three daughters unto Maliza Webb, a single mother. Essie lost her mother at an early age to a fatal car accident. She was raised by her grandparents. Essie was introduced to the Lord Jesus Christ by devout Christians Henry and Sarah Webb. Essie went through many trials and tribulations she armed herself with faith and confidence in the Lord and beat the odds. Essie had a life long passion for learning; she attended Berkley Adult School in pursuit of her GED at the age of seventy

After moving to California from Albuquerque she settled down in the East Bay Area. She volunteered her services at several churches in the area before joining Bethany Baptist Church where she served on the Usher's board for many years. Essie J webb is survived by; Son- Leo L. Lemons, one grand daughter-Rana Lemons-Maneri, three very special loved ones- Beverly Davis of Phoenix, AZ and Esther and Clint Waller of Albuquerque, NM as well dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
