Mildred Bono, age 94, of The Villages, FL passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012. She was born in New York City, NY on December 11, 1917. She lived most her life in New York and moved to Florida with her husband after his retirement. Millie was a homemaker and beloved mother of two daughters. She loved dancing and fashion. She attended St. Timothy Catholic Church. Her favorite saying was "What's not to love about living in The Villages".
She is survived by a daughter Marie (Dominic) Lepore of Summerfield, FL; daughter Rosalie (Mark) Sheppard of The Villages, FL; sister Josephine (Peter) Cusamano of Brooklyn, NY; sister in law Saverina (Stanley) Rose of The Villages, FL; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Bono and a grandson Alfred.
A visitation will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages, FL on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 3-7pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Timothy Catholic Church of The Villages, FL on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 8:30am. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Ocala, FL.
