Lewis Cutrer was the mayor of Houston, Texas from 1958 to 1963. He was present at Rice University when JFK gave his famous speech about sending a man to the moon. Terminal C at Bush Intercontinental Airport is named after Mayor Cutrer. He is also credited with desegregating all City of Houston buildings. If one goes to the basement of City Hall in downtown Houston there is a picture of Mayor Cutrer in the "Hall of Mayors". Picture to follow.
